As part of a larger effort to achieve its mission to "Better Educate the World", the Student Loan Network, an Edvisors Company, has committed to give away more than $75,000 in scholarships and awards in 2009. In 2008, the Student Loan Network celebrated its 10th anniversary by awarding a $10,000 scholarship to one lucky student (Laura a sophomore at Hartwick College). The program received more than 20,000 applications. Due to overwhelming demand, the program was expanded and is now awarding $10,000 scholarships every six months. (PRWeb Mar 18, 2009)

Despite tough economic times and greater demand for financial aid, at least one source of free scholarships will be increasing this year: ScholarshipPoints.com, an Edvisors company, anticipates giving away nearly $100,000 in free scholarships to college students, more than double the $40,000 given away in 2008.
